You can find us among the vineyards and forests of Castagnassa, which is part of the municipality of Rocchetta Tanaro. Castagnassa is centrally located between the 2 provincial capitals of Alessandria and Asti. Both cities are 20 km away. Closer by is the town of Nizza Monferrato with a good variety of shops, bars and restaurants.Although located in a small village, the B&B is easily accessible by car. Turin and Milan airports are both less than 1.5 hours away by car.What to doFestina Lente is located in the hills of the Monferrato region on the border of the Unesco Heritage area. It is a good starting point to explore the region with its barbera vineyards and the hazel fields.Perhaps you would like to explore the wider area by car or motorbike. At a leisurely pace you drive between the vineyards and through the gently sloping hilly landscape from village to village, where you can always stop for a snack and a drink in the sun or on a shady terrace.The area offers the opportunity to explore it on foot from the B&B or from surrounding villages. You can walk between the vineyards or in the nature park Val Sarmassa near Vinchio.What we like the most is exploring the region by bicycle. Driving between the hills covered with vines and hazels and often puffing arriving on a very welcome terrace is for us the perfect way to discover the region.And who says Piedmont, says wine. Whether you prefer the sparkling Asti wine or are more in the mood for a good glass of red or white wine, the region has a tasty alternative for everyone.
